About this deal
In terms of portability, the Diono Monterey 5iST FixSafe makes a more compact package at just 8″ depth while the Peg Perego Flex 120 is closer to 10″. Diono specifies that the shoulder belt guide should be at least 1 cm (about 1/2″) above the shoulder. Diono high back boosters are all designed and engineered with reinforced head support, to provide head containment and minimize side movement.
His shoulders and behind are too broad for him to fit comfortably in most high back boosters, despite being within the height and weight limits. The lower anchor connectors are upside down compared to the lower anchor connectors on most other car seats. Diono Monterey 4DXT comes with reclining backrest that makes it perfectly adjusted to any vehicle car seat. The diono Monterey XT Fix Booster Car Seat is a forward-facing Group 2 and Group 3 car seat which means it is suitable for children who weigh between 15 – 36kg (generally aged between 3 and 12 years old and up to a maximum height of 150cm tall).
It has increased side impact protection from an engineered seat and visible metal reinforcements at the side of the seat, as well as energy-absorbing foam which adds protection and comfort. Diono high back boosters have won multiple awards for their commitment to safety and innovative design. The width of the Diono can be adjusted using a knob on the back of the seat (above left), it is easy to use, but you'll need to do this before you install it. SafePlus® belt guides - easy access to seatbelt buckle help your big kid with self buckling -- don't forget to check though! The lap belt sits low on her hips and the shoulder belt makes contact with her shoulder and not her neck.
