I may be completely wrong, but as I was building the set, I noticed that the dark red made Dumbledore look an awful lot like Santa Claus. I'd imagine that this makes the game slightly more unpredictable, while introducing a new tactical element. I think if the board was larger the classrooms would get separated more and there would be more need to manipulate the board to make a path for yourself or to mess with the other players.For those that think the premise of manipulating the gameboard sounds interesting you should instead consider Labyrinth as the board manipulation mechanics actually work pretty well in that game.
